ID for Unmarked Small-Hole Handle
« on: September 10, 2014, 09:43:32 PM »
I posted this pan on the Facebook page and had some good discussion over there, but Cheryl suggested I post on the forum as well.

The skillet looks very similar to pics of Long Life pieces someone shared. Any further thoughts?

Thanks!

My vote is unmarked Wagner. In some of their unmarked chicken fryers, they used the round hole in handle. Lid would have an underlined X or V in the center usually with the scalloped style drip rings.

I will also pull in some pics from FB page to show why, maybe, we should not jump so quick to Wagner... which is what I sure did!! ;D

This is mine....

But look at the underside of the handle, pic #2

Does any one have any Good Health skillets?
Rand initially asked about the structure being the same as the Good Health skillets shown in the BB...P. 24....

Now that I have found the remainder of the pictures... :-[ ... I added them above...
One observation.... this particular ebay skillet has a HR, as opposed to smooth bottom...

So it's very close to the #3 Long Life, pictured above, but not the #7 (handle has no triangle). It looks a lot like the Good Health that Harry posted, as well.

Can anybody speak to the heft of those skillets? This unmarked #9 weighs 5lbs 13oz.

I thought I would revive this old post wondering if any identification was made on these pans. I picked up a #9 the other day. These pans are smooth, well made, no junk here. Some foundry knew what they were doing.
