Finished Cleaning the No 2 Griswold block logo-Pics
« on: July 15, 2015, 06:16:27 AM »
Finished cleaning it--no electro necessary. Just took it out of the lye, applied a little steel wool and elbow grease, and it was done. I think it came out really well. I'm debating putting a seasoning coat on it. This is really a collectors item, and I'm not sure what buyers would want--season it themselves or coat it and display as is.

This one is tearing at me--I'm unlikely to find another one in this condition outside of a retail sale anytime soon.

That's a beauty Frank. I'd hold onto it a while until you're tired of looking at it. That's generally what I do with high dollar pieces that I don't generally collect.

You're right. I think that's exactly what I'll do.

Frank, you did a great job restoring it.  I agree with your decision, it will be hard to find another one in such great condition.
