« on: August 14, 2015, 05:07:18 PM »
Anybody know anything about this. Looks weird to me. It's a number 12 griswold slant. Back just says 12 griswold slant logo.  erie. Nothing else. Handle and helper both look weird to me also. Any thoughts

Would be helpful to have a picture of the entire bottom...

However, this piece clearly has some condition issues, with a lot of pitting/damage to the cooking surface.

I looked at this piece too. The loop assist handle is unusual. They came in sizes 12, 13, and 14. And they are worth big money. But this one here. I would not buy it. It looks like it has been rode hard and put away wet one too many times to suit me. I think its real. And also 'real' bad.

Yup. I agree with you on the rode hard. And it's also not in good enough shape for my collection. But....I was thinking I might buy it. It's only 50 bucks and I was thinking I could fry dough in it around the holidays. I've never seen one with a loop assist handle so it threw me for a loop.i once had a bailed skillet that I believe had the same loop.wish I never sold that one but it was many years ago before I was a collector. And the mortgage was do lol Thanks for the help. You people are great.

Fifty dollars. I don't think so. I was thinking a hundred and twenty five dollars or more.  :-/

I bought it. Turned out to be 70 dollars. He was asking 125.00. I asked if he would take 75.00 and he said sure. I also had a 25.00 dollar coupon. Thought he had free shipping but after I sent offer and he accepted it had 20.00 dollars in for shipping charges. I didn't notice it before. Anyways. Hopefully it's just got tons of crap on it and it's not pitted at all. I think that's just wishful thinking though. I'll let you know how bad it actually is. Maybe post some pictures after is electro it and season. Thanks for your info.
