Hello and Thank You
« on: August 22, 2017, 12:14:34 AM »
I am a neophyte to Cast Iron collecting, begining with a purchase of many items including skillets, Cauldrons, Gypsy pots, cowboy pans, even a LaSalle Cream Separator.  Some have made in America, others Gate marked with makers mark and other no makers mark.  To say I am confused is an understatement.
Any help I can receive will be greatly appreciated.  I am not even sure what you need to help but please ask and I will send pics etc.

Thanks in advance for your patience and I am so glad you exist!!

Tom

What we need are photos. Lots of photos. Then we need specific questions.

Here’s a link on how to post photos:

Post your photos and general questions on the General Information board of the forum.
If you need help with cleaning those pieces, well, you are on your own for that part! But we can answer your cleaning questions on the Cleaning and Restoration board.
Happy posting...

This is my first attempt at photographing a small piece I have.  Please tell me if there is something I need to do.  I figured let me start small before I bring out the larger pieces.
Thank you in advance for your help.
anything you can tell me about this piece, it's history and its value, is greatly appreciated.

Tom that is a pot that plumbers would use to melt lead.  Not a piece to cook with.
