Our room rate is $97/night (plus applicable taxes) and is good for the Convention dates and 3 nights on either side for those extending their vacation time.
**You must mention the Wagner and Griswold Society when you make your reservations to ensure the group rate and must make your room reservations by August 7, 2017 in order to be guaranteed that rate,
There will be more complete information being mailed out by Chuck in a couple months that will include more of the particulars and pricing, including the very generous Early Bird Discount that the WAGS Board approved for this year's Convention.
We will be having our now-famous Camp Oven Cookout again, most likely on that Thursday and hopefully on property at The Inn and welcome our past participants and any other members wishing to assist with the cookout to share their favorite recipe or wanting to learn more about how to use their camp ovens. Please contact either me or Roger Barfield for more information or to join the fun.
Chuck or other members of the Convention committee or his local team may be in contact with you to assist with various aspects of the Convention and especially for your areas of expertise for doing a presentation or hosting a discussion on your favorite cast iron topic. But don't wait on that call if you have a topic you would like to do a presentation on, call Chuck and let him know.
There had been some questions posed about the timing being moved up this year. Much of that had to do with local hotel availability based on other events and reservations already in place. We look forward to seeing a big crowd in Reading this year, familiar faces and new ones too! If you've never been to a WAGS Convention, its a great opportunity to see, learn and ask questions about cast iron and to spend time with other like-minded collectors, swap stories, iron and enjoy good food.
See you in Reading in September!
