I have a black iron one in queue to restore, so maybe it’s time lol.

I really like it, Sandy.  The only fault, if you call it that, is that all of the hammered bases should be japanned.  Anyway the catalog lists them that way.

As far as I know, there are more #28 bread pans known than of this Silverlike variation.

Beautiful iron. Never ended up with that one. Always eluded me. They are so fancy looking. Do you use yours Tom?  I always get people stirred up when I make waffles in my heart and star #19! But she makes wonderful waffles! Yum.

Have not.  To be honest, I'm not much of a waffle person.  Might use it sometime though.  I prefer wafer irons and have used many of the old ones.
