1978 Catalog Page
« on: June 10, 2023, 01:24:10 PM »
Here is an odd ad from a 1978 catalog. The Belgian Waffler and Krumkake Iron listed in the ad were made by Nordicware, but who in 1978 was making a cast iron high base #8 waffle iron with wooden handles and low base Heart and Star Iron with coil handles? Imported? Any ideas?

At that point in time, this catalog normally states if an item is imported. These items aren't indicated as such, but perhaps they were of European origin. Either that or GHC was digging deep in the Wagner/Griswold pattern vault for something that still might have some life in it. But these two items are only in the '78 catalog. not before, and not after.

That is a mystery
Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.
