Iron Mountain I cleaned
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:25:50 AM »
I cleaned this for a secretary at my school. She bought it at an auction for 5 dollars and asked me if I could do anything with it.

It is awesome, great little skillet. The only shame is that the owner says it is so nice she is afraid to use it now.

Tell her to send it to me. I'll break it in for her.    [smiley=yes.gif]

Great job Janis!

One of my very first purchases was a #5 IM skillet I found at a flea market for $1 where a toothless vendor told me "it ain't worth nothin' cuz it don't say Griswold on it."  I gave him his dollar and boogied. :)

Is that what started this mad journey? Mine started with a Griswold I found being thrown out at a student rental about 25 years ago. I picked it up and thought, what a nice skillet. Then someone told me Griswold skillets were worth something.
