wapak Indian head
« on: September 09, 2014, 09:16:16 PM »
I have in my possession a #4. Found one on eBay for 800 bucks. Pretty sure that's a very optimistic seller. So, thought I would ask the experts.

Thanks so much! Love this site.

Be sure to check our repro page on the #4 Indianhead... they have been reproduced and are easy to spot if you know what you're looking for:

Is the 4 on the top of the handle? If so and handle is correct you should be OK. If the 4 is on the bottom of the pan its a repro. Also Indian is not very good

Thansk for the reply. Yes. The handle and number are correct. The cooking surface is smooth

They aren't very good as users?  I am having trouble loading a picture.

sure, they are good users.  but,  would you rather cook with a $30 skillet or a $400 one?   I would have that Indian on display on a wall.  you have the size that is difficult to find,   and sought after by collectors.  that is the size in my collection of Indians that I paid the most for. ;)     now,  you can start building a collection of Indians around that #4.   :)

Oh yeah...I plan on putting this on the wall to admire. No question.

Tom said indian isn't very good. Was wondering what he meant. Unless of course...it was a joke. :)

hello, Jean.  what I think Tom meant was that the Indian is not good on a reproduced #4.   the repro Indians tend to have REALLY big noses.  LOL!!!

Ohh!! Hahahahaha OK. Got it. You know I'll have to break this baby in before she goes on the wall, right? My goodness...its begging to touch food again. :)

Thanks Marge, Thomas and Sandy

Jean, there is one on Ebay now for $800.00. I have 2, both in better condition than this one. I would sell one for $700.00. At least you know if you got a deal.   Tom

Looks good to me.  Nice find.
