Stover Engine Co CI Bread pan
« on: October 01, 2017, 10:00:05 PM »
I've had this bread pan forever I don't even remember where I got it. Does it have any collector value. I've never heard of this company.

They are turning up on ebay fairly commonly recently.  These was made by Stover manufacturing. A  foundry in Freeport Illinois.  Daniel held a large amount of patents in his time for bicycle coaster brakes, barbed wire, engines, and windmills.   He manufactured fencing, engines, windmills, bicycles, cookware along with other cast items,  In cookware he was known for his waffle irons and this no 11 pan he called a cornbread pan but actually looks like a bread pan that closely resembles the no
22 Griswold pan.  I have seen these go all over the place for price from $100 on down.

Bread stick pans are fairly common across all Manufacturers.

I might give $20, which is about what a Griswold Breadstick pan brings. :)

I agree with cheryl on the price and common.  I should have clarified the price I have seen is asking price and there is sometimes a lot of distance between asking and selling when it comes to price :)

I might buy another breadstick pan, if it was a Martin ... or if I could sure it was a Lodge ... but they are such a pain in the butt to clean and season, I don’t want another one. Ha!
