Can anyone tell me the value and rarity of this item? I can't find anything on the Blue Books about it. It is a Griswold A888 Special with lid number A208C.

Here are a  couple of more pictures of the skillet.  Does anyone have anything similar or know anything about these skillets?

Hi Tom, I have one that is similar but the marking is different.
Skillet is 208N and the cover is  A208C like yours with different markings. Mine only has SKILLET COVER not SELF BASTING SKILLET COVER like yours, and the position is swapped with the 1925 Pat. mark.

Here is another variation.

   A208C
       X

This one is the "high dome" form.  I cannot tell from the pictures of the other covers if they are the low or high form.
Hold still rabbit so I can dunk you in this bucket of lye!
