Wagner Ware hammered drip drop 2248

Does anyone know the value of this piece? I picked it up for 4.99 at Goodwill yesterday. I cannot find it anywhere online. Thanks!

Welcome Alison,  My reference book (the blue book) lists the following Wagner pieces on pg. 327:

     2248    No. 8 Aluminum Dutch oven, hammered
     2248C  No. 8 Dutch Oven cover, hammered

There is no value stated, but as a rule aluminum pieces (especially common ones like this set) are valued on the low side.

IMO $4.99 for a serviceable oven or lid is a good price depending upon its condition.

Allison, is this the one that you're talking about? I found this pic online. I have one, it's an excellent example of hammered CI. Mine is plain cast iron with such a fine finish it almost looks plated. I don't have my book with me right now, and "book value" isn't always an exact science. Wagner is often undervalued. Yes, it's one of my favorites ;)
