Gate marked 3 leg pot- Wood, Bishop, & Co?
« on: September 02, 2018, 10:32:15 PM »
I’m at my parents for the weekend and looking at some of their iron with new interest. This one gate marked pot has a raised WB on the bottom as the only mark. I haven’t been able to find a Wood, Bishop, & Co Mark like this, but I haven’t seen any on pots and have very little (like none) experience.

Can you post a close up of the marking? From what I can see, it looks more like a "W" (which could be a molder mark) and an 8 which could be indicating the size of the pot.

I agree with Russell, I think it looks like a molder's mark. Neat looking pot.

Here is a closer shot. Looks like a period between the two marks as well
