I have purchased from that seller. His iron is perfectly cleaned/seasoned & really well packed. $710 is still crazy. Sue

Hi Scott, If your Erie has a pattern number on it, it's 3rd series or later.  ;)

I'm just now seeing this thread but can not see the skillet because the pictures are no longer on ebay. Or if they are I can't see them. Just another reason to post a picture if you can, otherwise this thread becomes worthless as tits on a boar hog.  :(

Hi Perry, Sorry about not grabbing a pic, but do you really need to see the pan to know 710.00 for a number 10 is nuts? I know you enough to know you wouldn't go over 600.00..lol  ;)

Hello Mark. You are correct that I don't need a picture to know the piece is not worth that much. I'm just thinking about what other members can learn if the picture is there.  :)

Well like I said at first, it was a nice Erie 10, no pitting or wobble, properly cleaned and seasoned. I sold one a while back that was as nice or nicer for 300, which I was happy with. I've seen a few as good as this one was with a BIN under 200.
So what I've learned and others can from this, is timing seems to be everything. We all agree 710. is way over priced, but if you happen to list something when at least two people who must have money to burn are looking..this is what can happen. Probably most members knew this already.  ;)

I have an Erie #10
How do you identify the various series?
Thanks

Hello Brymer. We have a skillet chart that shows the different variations and marks that identify each series. That chart is on here somewhere.
