« on: May 10, 2004, 09:32:35 PM »
I think someone posted about a lid like this some time ago, but wanted to know if anyone has seen many of these?..Skillet is black porcelain coated just on the outside and plain iron inside, but the lid is coated black porcelain inside and out.....and hinged....anyone seen one in an old Griswold catalog?

Jerry,
This piece turns up in a Griswold catalog 1940-42.  It's the only piece I've ever seen like it in a catalog and I have not seen one in person but think one was on ebay a while ago.  Inside is shown in catalog as being black iron with the rest of the pan and cover in black porcelain.  Nice piece.
