Griswold Waffle Iron - New one on me.

 This is my first Griswold waffle iron to see marked in this way about patent date and OTHERS PENDING?  Is this a common marking for Griswold waffle irons?     [smiley=unsure.gif]  Its a #975, 976, 977.

Griswold made soooo many variations on their waffle irons that you will probably never see them all.  I have probably (but don't remember for sure) seen this one.    It's much like the Patent Appl'd For skillet covers that are out there but in very small numbers.  At least one of the "others pending" is the 1908 patent.  That is before the Griswold trademark was first used c.1909-1910 and is a good way to date this iron fairly closely to c.1907.
