STOVER JUNIOR waffle iron
« on: January 08, 2009, 08:12:57 PM »
I saw a STOVER JUNIOR waffle iron today.  Way out of my price range.  I was wondering if anyone could be so kind as to give me some background information on these items and maybe what they are supposed to sell for.

Sincerely,

Jeff Seago

Jeff, I know very little about them because I don't follow them much.  I do know they show up on eBay quite often... might want to run a completed listings search to see what they've been bringing.  Also, I think they have been repro'd.

Hello Sandy, yes they have been repro'd, big time. I see the fake ones every now and then, don't remember if I have seen a real one or not.  :-/

Thanks for the info.  I held this one in my hands and it looked like an original to me.  All of the details were very crisp and clear right down to the inside of the iron.  I did not know anything about them and now I know a little.  That is why I love this site.

Thanks guys.

Well hold it now Jeff, don't be running off.  ;D Ain't you gonna tell us how much they were asking for this piece?  ;D

Sorry Perry.  They were asking $138.00 for the item.  Has the repro market totally destroyed the value on pieces like this, as well as the Griswold #0 and items of the sort?

I don't that I would say its "destroyed" the market Jeff, but, it sure has hurt the value of the real pieces because folks are reluctant to buy a piece, thinking its fake. As you may know, one of the purposes and missions of WAGS is to thwart this kind of activity wherever we can, in the sea, on the land, or in the air.  ;)
