Cleaning this for a friend. She want's to know who made it. Any ideas?

I think this was probably made for Willard Wallace of Walla Walla, Washington. [smiley=wobble.gif]


I would use the term molders mark, which is what I think you are saying.

There have been a couple of explanations/uses for the marks.  One is quality control.  Another is that they may have been paid on a per piece basis.  I'm sure there are others.

Thanks Tom. You are correct I meant molder's mark.  I must have had bourbon on my mind while typing. ;)
