WAPAK "T" HANDLE???
« on: January 28, 2009, 08:07:45 PM »
Not sure if this has any meaning or not. Haven't seen this mark before. It's on the underside of a #8 skillet handle. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Molders mark would be my guess. Clark has one with a "J" and Tom Oen has one ,think he said it was a "D". Any ghost marks on that pan Chuck?

None that I can see. I have a #9 with the ERIE ghost. Not real clear. Can just see the first E, but it is there. Also, the p/n is ghosting also. #10 the same thing, but a big ole crack was hiding under the crud. Checked it out before the auction and didn't see or hear a thing. Glad I didn't pay alot for it.

I asked about the ghosting cuz the one Clark has is ghosted with Erie and Wagner. Thinks he's posted pix of it before.

Thanks Jack, I'll add that to the list I have going in my Blue book. #12 is the largest I have heard of having this mark. Any thoughts on why these letters were put on some skillets. They are few and far between. Is your skillet Z mark Wapak? I seen Chucks on eBay, and his is.

Clark ,what is the Style Wapak you have with the letter under handle?

Ok J on handle, stright Wapak just below the gost "Erie" just above the gost (arch) Wagner. All at 12:00. Has Eries (shield) at about 5:30, to the right and above the fancy 7. A photo sure would be easer, see if I can find it. clark

Few and far between you say? I just hope the selling price refects this. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
