Ain't she a beauty all painted up. Now if I only knew who made it. I know I've seen that handle style before.....  ;)

Here's a different one. Well at least to me. I was told it was a camp stove, and was also told it was a soldiering iron heater. Any ideas?

Chuck, That painted lady (pics 1&2) looks to be Iron Mountain.

It won't be painted for long. It went into the electro about 6 hours ago. Should be back to nice black iron soon.

I agree with Sandy...the skillet is Iron Mountain.

The other item isn't a camp stove, it's a sad iron heater.  Uses kerosene.  Looks like the mica windows are intact...are the wicks there?

The sad iron heaters don't usually go for much more than about 20 bucks....but I just sold a different brand that was dated for $62.... Guess it depends on who sees and wants it...

Wicks and windows are all there. I wasn't sure what exactly it was but I liked it. Payed $7 for it. It'll look nice somewhere in the CI collection. I do have just one sad iron that I got in a box lot. I could put them together with another sad iron, and have a nice little display. Thanks Charlee. Any Idea who made it. The company initial are on it (pictured). Not sure who that is. Wheres Jeff Paden when ya need him. That guy can find anything.

Hey Lee, My  Dad always said that " Iron in your blood turns to lead in your butt. So by the time it comes out, I think the electro will just dissolve it ;D ;D.  Thanks though Lee. I wasn't lucky on another piece at this same auction. I was after a Griswold #4 small logo grooved handle. I figured it's an easy set to complete, and I only need a couple more of them. Well it went up, I let all the early bidders jump in, and then drop out. Then it was just me and this woman. When we got to $50 I was gonna drop out but I figured I'd stay in a couple more times. When it got to $75 I though, If she wants it that bad she's gonna pay for it, so I stayed in until I hit $105. She went $110, so I shook my head, and said, It's all yours. I guess you call that " >:(Anger bidding" >:(. After I thought about it, I said to myself, Are you nuts? What if she didn't go $110? Better her than me I guess. I know the 4's a getting a little harder to find, but not that one. I can get one on Ebay for $20.

And you are all correct. It is an iron mountain skillet #3.  After the paint came off, you could see the pitted bottom. Good thing I didn't pay too much for it.

It's a shame about the pitting. I hate when that happens.
