I can't say with a certainty but I would think the lid will have the same # as the bottom. FWIW, the RB has a # 7 with the same # on both pieces.

Same thing,  249.   Wagner kept most things simple like that.   It may have an "L" after it.   Meaning,  of course,  Lid.

I have 2 #6 DO's  One lid is marked only 246 and the other is marked 246 m, the bottoms are marked the same - 246 and 246 m.  The "m" is located under the 246.

We discussed this at a convention,  but my brain is failing to remember.   But we did figure it out.

I am assuming that the Wagner Drip Drop Trivets are also for these #9 roasters??  I did not realize that they are that much larger than a Griswold #9.

Jeff, Is there a # on that trivet? Wagner made at least one roaster larger than the 249 and your trivet may be for the larger size.

My 249 Aluminum Round Roaster is almost 9 1/2" inside diameter, does that help?

Dwayne is where the sides and bottom of your round roaster meat rounded like most dutch oven or is it square??  The reason that I ask is that the 249 in the picture is 9 15/16" across at the widest point.  I think that it would fit if the sides met the bottom at more of a corner.

It will not fit in my #9 Griswold that is also 9 1/2" in diameter.  It fits in the oven but the feet don't touch the bottom.

Well that really makes me wonder if either of them will fit??  I would bet that they probably do because that is why they were made but they sure didn't leave very much wiggle room??
