big tea kettle

I have a LEVIS (?) #9 tea kettle. Its bigger than 3 other 9s Ive been able to compare it to. Any body have any information on these? Im still working on how to post pics. Thank you

This certainly look like an old Tea Kettle... early 1900's at least, looking at the bail and other design...

Does it have a pit bottom, or flat bottom?
Gatemark on the bottom?

I will be interested to know whether any more markings show up after cleaning. 
Have never seen any pieces with "LEVIS" before.  Wondering if the letters will also become clearer with cleanup.... :-/
