Large Heart shaped Waffle Iron
« on: February 17, 2014, 11:00:54 PM »
I did a preliminary google search, and checked the foundry list with no results. I have no photos yet, but was wondering if anyone has heard of Wingaard Bergen. This is a 9-1/2 inch diameter heart shaped waffle iron(Anderson heart is 7-1/2). It is one of the early ones that rotate at 3 and 9, low base, so it needs to be done over a hole in the stove. If anyone knows where I might start my search, I'd appreciate it.

There was a Wingaard Foundry and Stove Works established in the 1850's in Bergen, Norway.  They may have merged with the companies that became Jotul in the 1920's.

Might be the place.
