John Wright Muffin Pans - Examples
« on: September 26, 2015, 01:47:56 PM »
I seem to be coming across these lately, so I wanted to start a thread that has them all in one place.
I couldn't pass this one up. One of the cups is an artichoke. Who designs an artichoke into their pan any way? This is a 1994 coated pan. It doesn't look like it was ever used. Probably the easiest cleaning I've ever done on a pan before using it.

I'll have to get busy and get a few more pictures up here, or at least the list of pans that I know of.

You've clearly learned how to use them.  They are lots of fun.  I really like the Animal Puzzle pan.  Lamb and Lion popover too.

A list is a good idea. There aren't many pans in the 2 catalogs I have from the 1970's. Looks like that foundry was more prolific (as far as cookie molds and muffin pans) in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's.
I'm still looking for a Lion/Lamb in good shape. That one looks like a tough clean if it is in rough shape to begin with.

These 2 are brand new out of the foundry, even though they are “older” pans. John Wright has changed from the silvery Iron Stone coating to a more clear lacquer looking coating. Originally, both of these pans were introduced in 1996. Their website and current catalog still show silver coated pan examples, however.

The Barnyard, 1988, USA.  Tough to bake, thin, uneven thickness cookies.

Not quite a muffin pan, but uncommon Wright bakeware.

Fruitop Bundt Pan, 1984, USA.  Makes a nice smaller bundt with a nice glaze.
