2008 Convention - We're here- where are you?

Ok, several folks are here already and the room parties have started.  I just got in after playing 18 holes at Waveland.  Easy course but a in great shape considering it was under water.  As I've done in the past, anyone that has pix, I'll try to post some during the convention, so you get a taste of what you're missin :(  Sorry :'(

We're about 4hrs away but stopped for the night.  Well we're 4hrs away unless I see some iron along the road, I get easily sidetracked on road trips. :)  Mike

I'm still in Temecula getting the last minute packing and STUFF done before tomorrow's flight.  Leaving about 4:00 am to allow for morning traffic and to be at the airport by 6:00 am.  Flight leaves at 7:30 am, should be in Des Moines about 3:07 pm.  Going to meet Roger and head straight to the park so we can give Tom a hand with dinner.  See ya'll there.....come hungry.

Scott, now remember to hide them six guns while you go through the security check point.  I'd hate for them to call in the swat team when you're on our side. ;D

I think I'm going to have trouble getting those irons through the security check....HE##, they won't even let me bring a tube of toothpaste any bigger than 3 oz.  Guess I can't even bring my little pocket knife....I'll feel neked without it.

You can only check one bag!!  I had my golf clubs with me and they charged me $50 to fly them one way.  What an expensive round of golf.  Ellis was smart, rent clubs!!

Checked in last evening about 5 PM Iowa time.  Left home at 4:44 AM Colorado time, easy drive with several rest stops.  Ate supper, showered, and crashed for 12 hours.  One more cup of coffee and it will be down to some breakfast.  Then find others and make arrangements to food shop for this afternoon/evening.  Be a shame to not have anything to cook after all this.  Back seat and trunk of the car is loaded with 14 COs, cook table, 3 folding tables, and accesories.

Sitting in the boarding area in the Mile High City, Denver, CO.  Should be there on time.  I'll be looking for you Roger......I won't be too hard to spot.....Look for a long beard with a white hat.  Looking forward to the Dutch Oven cookout and dinner.

Looks like everyone enjoyed the cook out.  I just want to really thank Sandy, Perry, Roger, and Scott for their great help.  I could not have done this without them.
